12Aug SourceBinder – Thoughts
An interesting conceptual Flash application that’s in private alpha right now is SourceBinder. This app allows users to quickly mock-up a visual experiences. This is potentially a really cool tool for what it wishes to accomplish as it would be handy to rapidly try out ideas. However, like other applications that do conceptual modeling, users will try to implement it for end-production work which is beyond the scope of this genre of tools. The more abstract the software is- the more bloated and less tailored code that it produces. For example, Photoshop has the ability to spit out html, but this feature is only meant as a mock-up or a basic starting point for the HTML developer to build around.
